Our defence is as bad as Ireland's, and France have genuine goal scorers. Plus home advantage, which counts for a lot.

Of course Iceland may yet beat England, so... :p
 
It's not like Ireland haven't created any chances either, so they can't be too down beaten if they lose this, they've ran at them and got the ball in front of goal several times.

It wasn't JUST the penalty that gave them hope.

Our defence hasn't looked as bad as Frances today against Ireland or in their other games and we also have genuine goal scorers, 3 of them.

Don't get me wrong I don't think we have played well, far away from what we could be, and being a Liverpool fan I think most can guest what I think of the man we are stuck with in charge. I just don't think we have been as bad as some people in here have been making out at least compared to some of the other big teams that seem to also be well below what they have been in the past few years.
