It was never going to be a great game, and was played exactly as predicted. Two teams with similar styles not wanting to make a mistake, if Bale had been wearing green it would have been 1-0 the other way.

To say we'll be slaughtered in the next round is a little far fetched, based on this game perhaps, but you would expect Belgium to progress, and we beat them and drew with them in the qualifiers, so it's not set in stone.
 
Croatia: Subasic, Srna, Corluka, Vida, Strinic, Modric, Badelj, Brozovic, Rakitic, Perisic, Mandzukic.


Portugal: Rui Patricio, Cedric, Pepe, Fonte, Guerreiro, Joao Mario, Adrien Silva, William Carvalho, Andre Gomes, Nani, Ronaldo.
 
It was an awful game but with two very average and similar teams it was always going to be ugly. The only time we've played well in this tournament was against Russia . . . poor today and a bit fortunate to go through.

Still, pretty amazing to be in the last 8, Hungary or Belgium will be a monumental task though.
 
I get the feeling Portugal could get pummeled if Croatia find their finishing boots - playing some very nice technical football
