UEFA Euro 2016 - The Final - Portugal vs France **spoilers** (10th July 2016)

Hal Robson-Kanu's Cruyff turn and cool finish for Wales against Belgium has been voted the best goal of Euro 2016 by BBC Sport viewers.

It was a good turn but cmon, it wasn't goal of the tournament. Shaqiri's was magnificent.

Hilarious that goal won it over Shaqiri's.

Great turn, but let's have it right the defending was absolutely comical. Shaqiri's was a piece of pure genius.

They weren't amazing, they weren't the most exciting but it's hard to argue they weren't deserving.

As deserving as Greece maybe

one shot on target and thats the winner - hmmm

The final was tragically **** , but saying that the commentary got it pretty accurate - a lousy tournement with decent highlights.....pity none of the latter was from the final.

Dont get me wrong, Portugal were bad last night, so what does that make France who should have been able to play them off the park esp without Ronaldo for 3/4 of the match.

This isnt about club loyalty but Dechamps ****** up by waiting until the last 5 minutes of extra time before bringing Martial on - what a complete waste of time. Give him 30 minutes and let him run at them (out wide) and into the box, he barely got a chance to really warm up (on the pitch) before the final whistle

edit - I would also say that France didnt deserve to lose to an obvious referring ****** either, given they never got out of their 1/2 after the "hand ball" that was blatantly Eder's

Had money on Portugal but only to win in 90 minutes. :o

Personally I think Portugal deserved it last night. France did not do enough to break them down and win. Apart from Sissoko and Coman, France were generally pretty poor.

The decision to bring on Gignac was retarded when Portugal were still attacking and looking for a winner. It wasn't like they were camped in their box only defending. Thats completely ignoring the fact that Gignac has been utterly **** whenever he has come on this tournament.

Deschamps will rightly get sacked after this. France should have bossed that final and after Ronaldo went off it should have been a formality. It was like he had LvG on the phone. Stupid formation, stupid tactics and even worse subs. Portugal deserved to win the final simply because they scored a single goal. Quality wise the teams were fair even and neither made it an exciting final.

Thousands of people waiting to see the team in Lisbon and they've just come off the aircraft. What a welcome they're getting!

The streets are lined with thousands of people, it's just amazing!

Just seen the team of the tournament.

How the hell is Ronaldo in there and Bale isn't?

Because Bale was below average when you take off the biased blinders? Two freekicks that non league keepers should have saved, can't remember the 3rd, actually not entirely sure if there was a third. He did almost nothing in 80% of every game and did nothing except shoot from long range as they went out of the tournament. He was poor overall but people got caught up in a couple fluke goals and Wales overall progression.

The tournament was dire in general and Wales while progressing well played badly in multiple games.

v s Ronaldo who was pretty invisible nearly every match - apart from the final when he actually was invisible :D

Not suggesting Bale should have been there either (and to be honest not sure Ramsey should have been either) but Ronaldo certainly didn't deserve to be there off the back of one really clever goal.

Neither Ronaldo or Bale should have been in there. I saw one where both of them were in the TOTT which is a joke. AS DM says, Bale scored with 2 freekicks that 95% of keepers would save easily. He had one half decent game from what I can remember and the rest of them he wasn't even above average. Ronaldo just had a disappointing tournament in general.

Some people are suggesting that this win for Portugal puts to bed the argument of who is the better player out of him and Messi which just boggles the mind. He didn't even play in the final for 90% of it and did nothing in those few minutes he did.
