Only 4 of the players in Serie A's team of the season play in this Italy team. 3 players in the PL's team of the season play for the England team.

The French XI that won the 2018 world cup had 1 player who plays in the French league.

Top PL players being English has never been an issue for the national team.

Emerson is the brazillian playing for Italy and he plays for Chelsea not City.
 
Grealish has scored one penalty in his entire career, I don't even think he's Villa's pen taker.

The more I think about it the more i'm coming round to the idea that the penalty takers didn't actually matter. I'm not a fan of subs taking pens, but looking at the team, I'd say only DCL would have been a better option than the players selected.

Oh and I really hope we have a difficult run in the WC, just to see what the team is made of and stop all this easy route nonsense.
