I’m glad Southgate isn’t pandering to the ‘more goals lol’ brigade. Being boring is how you make sure you don’t lose.
The balance between attack and defence is pretty much there for the opposition we will now face, no more Scotland etc. Two CDMs is about to make a lot of sense.
Hopefully we take more of our chances going forward and Kane gets more room to move the way he wants to.

Sterling's an odd player. He's the best player I've seen that struggles to strike a ball cleanly. He misses loads of chances and missplaces lots of passes but he's a player that gets into so many great positions. I'd take Sterling, missing 3 but scoring 2 over a player that gets one chance every two games.
That's how I've seen him, he takes a few steps forward then looks lost at sea.
Is this one of those moments where you tell us every Utd player and Ole are amazing? I'm not sure if you're not aware but more than Man Utd supporters can watch Utd Shami. I've watched pretty much every Utd game that's not clashed with a Liverpool game and just like I can say Ole hasn't exceded expectations at Utd, I can say that I think Maguire's not the English Franz Beckenbauer. I have no problem if you disagree.

Did you actually watch our defence tonight? Balance? Space for Kane to move?
Our defence is very weak. That’s why we need 6 defenders and all things considered that has meant we have 3 clean sheets. We’ve sacrificed goals the other end to prevent conceding them.
As for Kane, he is getting man marked. Tonight by two players at once. The opposition we will face next won’t need to do that and he might be able to play more like he wants to.
Do you have anything constructive to say about it?
Probably needs to move to a champions league team so that he can really develop to the fullest
