UEFA Euro 2020 Round of 16 ** spoilers ** [26th - 29th June 2021]

Such a shame, really felt Austria should have taken that.
Like Jurgen said though, the quality of the Italian squad runs too deep. When you can bring players on to press like that at the drop of a hat you're hard to beat.
Damn fine effort from Austria though. They can go home proud.

Key on Tuesday will be negating the threat of Gosens, I reckon Walker to get the nod at RB but I wonder if Southgate will have an industrious wideman in front of him who will track back a bit. You could maybe make a case for playing Saka on the right for this reason, has good experience as fullback/wingback so would offer some protection.

Obviously against a team with wingbacks you can make a counter argument that you want to pin them back, concentrate more on keeping them running towards their goal than yours. Could be risky approach though.

Not having that red card for Wilson, it was a lazy frustrated 'tackle' (foul) that should have got a yellow but it wasn't particularly dangerous, I think the ref just decided he was going to come down hard on a deliberate foul without really considering the severity of the actual foul.

Precisely. A few of those decisions went against Wales but it doesn't change the fact that Denmark were clearly the better side over the 90mins.

Wales always hit above their mark and it is still a great achievement to get out of the group but they were just beaten by a better team in the end. They did a hell of a lot better than the Scotts which is an accomplishment in itself.
