Uh oh, here come's the biannual whingathon!

Yawn .... goodbye to a pleasant daylight half our in bed at 5:40 listening to the birds morning chorus - and the dam peasants.
Could someone please tell the birdies that we don't wake up to daylight.

For me its the woodpigeons that make that oo-oo-oo oo-oo-oo noises is the most annoying of the birds around here.

Feel sorry for those with pets as they don't know/understand clocks going forwards. So jump on the bed, wince for food/love etc an hour earlier (to them its the same time)

Keep your bedroom door shut, problem solved .. if they scratch the door, make sure you put them in another room with door closed before you go to bed

woken up today at normal time, then remembered we lost the hour...... then was greeted with pouring rain outside ..then I noticed that some seagull had left its dung on my car....... so I had to go outside in the rain in my dresing gown to clear it off, then I remebered that I have to change the clocks in my house. I mean I have no idea how to change the clock on the cooker...serviously it only has three buttons which make little sence so I might need someone from MENSA to help me figure this all out

.....But least I can be glad its lighter evenings going forward :D

Other than basically waking up at 5am (old time, it was actually 6am BST) it's still a little light in the morning which is the most important thing for me. That said the longer evenings will also be welcomed.

I guess one of the advantages of being further north is the chance of over 12hrs of sunshine in the summer. Whereas on the equator it's always 12hrs even in the "winter". Although I think I'd prefer that.

I thought it would be great going to bed an hour early -

Bloody forgot you get up an hour earlier. Then had to adjust two clock's - all the others do it themselves.

The knack is to press them for varying lengths of time, in different orders, in singular and in combination until something happens.

Failing that hit it with a hammer and then ignore.

Edit: Or do what I've been known to do and just mentally adjust it until the clocks change again

Every time the clocks go forward, get one idiot banging on the windows why the **** aren’t you open it’s 3:15?.

No it’s 4:15. Didn’t you know that clocks went forward?.

Anyway most things like phones are done automatically.

Tried that. Now it’s flashing 00.00 Tempted just to jam a screw driver into the led light to disable it so I least no one can see it’s wrong

It always too me ages to find out how to do it on my old car. I ended up making a note on my phone.

The stupid thing was that the clock automatically set the minutes by GPS but didn’t understand daylight saving time so you had to set the hour manually.
