Not in auto you can in manual...

That's sure a shame, thanks for the help though. Just in case you're wondering I need it to turn off add its in my media centre which needs to be quite and my gpu is only used to decode hi def so is off most of the time

You can use presets set in Windows and it takes 3 seconds to turn them on/off, once set up.
