A good move in my opinion.

As someone who used vaping to stop smoking many years ago, I can definitely see the benefit of it, vaping is better than smoking it seems.

However, the clear and obvious targeting of these disposable vapes to children is pretty disgusting, and then on top of that the amount of waste they create is absolute madness, i've seen litter bins outside shops absolutely LAYERED with the little stickers that go on the bottom of the vapes, as well as elf bars in pretty much every gutter/road side you happen to walk past.

I will miss a cheeky Lost Mary on a night out after a load of beers though, looks like Mary will be lost again... :p

Yeah I think this ban is a good thing tbh. Mainly on the litter & waste front. It seems insanely wasteful that these gadgets with electronics and batteries are just disposable, and I'm tired of seeing broken ones on the street, knowing that if an animal eats one it could well lead to a very unpleasant death.

E: from what I've heard the amount of evidence about long term impacts of vaping is pretty limited too, so not really clear how much better than smoking it actually is.

Good, the batteries in these things cause fires in waste / recycling facilities. They had some videos on the news the other night of the batteries exploding next to workers.

I'm not a fan of vaping. Yeah its better than smoking but it still stinks, usually some horrible sickly sweet fruity flavour.

If the batteries weren't a potential H&S issue i'd see no issue. They're just another thing one person doesn't like about another's consumerist purchases. But the batteries are an issue, so good job they are being banned.

It would have been nice if cigarettes were available in lower and lower nicotine levels to ease off the addiction, but we got vapes. While they helped me quit, i ultimately don't like still them and haven't used flavouring since i discovered it.

Good, should never have been allowed in the first place. Now bring deposit on plastic bottles. I've spent 3 weeks in Slovakia in august and it was such a simple process to return the empty bottles.

THIS!

Have spent a lot of time in Germany and there really is no excuse for us not having it.

People will still throw them away in the streets sadly but then you get people collecting them = free clean up!

Dont agree with a ban as a user of disposables myself. I would much rather they were treated more like cigarettes, bog standard packaging, not allowed to be displayed/advertised, and actually force the companies to recycle them/make them more recyclable.

I currently vape and didnt even understand the point of these, you can get permanent use ones jsut as small and choose whatever flavour you want and it works out cheaper after a month of owning. The sheer waste of them is crazy.
I've tried numerous refillable vapes and nothing comes close to the taste/flavour/hit from disposables.

Get a Caliburn vape and just buy Salt Nic based Ice flavoured vapes, if anything its the exact same and the likes of Lost Marys etc are weaker.
