How much was Kensington palace, heard gardens are nice?
I don't remember as at the time we bought the yearly membership for all Royal palaces as it came out cheaper than buying entrance for Kensington and tower of London, so you could do that. Gardens were very nice but they are free, you only need to pay to go to the palace.
 
Live in the SW, never take hoildays in England, to exspensive and never worth the hassle, driving anywhere always long ques, poor service abuseive peopleetc.
 
Northumberland is brilliant if you want quiet, great coastline too. Not great for hill / mountain walks.
Scotland is a favourite of ours, just done a week on South Uist, Outer Hebrides. Very quiet, very remote and wild terrain for walking the hills.
Skye is lovely, just a bit too busy these days.
