UKFSN users in plz

Just swapped from Demon to UKFSN. Will let you knwo how it goes.

Anyone know if you can see how much you have used from your peak allowance ?

login to your UKFSN control panel or similar?
 
After the initial 2 meg cap mines gone up now, sync @5780 and atm download is 580kbs(i doubt it stop there) so far so good.

just got them to turn off interleaving for free after some whining...

Logged in and it looks like the swap overs all gone through but I cant see any options ?

Just paid for my first month and setup a DD. Very quick service so far.

I was so pi$$ed with Demon after a recieving a "you have gone over your limit and now been put on 128K for the next month and there is nothing you can do"

I will see what the service is like tonight and over the weekends, I had no issues with speeds on Nildram.
 
ntl:Telewest is experimenting with a system that will limit its 10Mbps service customers down to a maximum of 5Mbps between 4pm and midnight if the individuals usage exceeds what ntl:Telewest considers is fair under the firms Fair Use Policy (FUP).

I bet theres uproar on there. :D
 
Bit of a ressurection here for just a quick question.

When you sign up online to UKFSN, it says to put a date of when you would like to be switched, has to be 7 days minimum from when you put the order in, now does that include weekends, it probably doesn't but im just making sure, so if i put my order in on say Monday, then id put the date as the following Wednesday, or Tuesday if they class the day you order as a one ?

Just got the e-mail saying my upgrade is complete, so here comes 10 days of dissconnections during the stabilisation period, thank god im getting my MAC.

I put my mac in and signed up with UKFSN on the 10th, payed etc order went in on the 11th and i was activated 7 days later on the 18th.
 
I meant i got the e-mail from AOL about the upgrade, there is no 2mb Gold now, so they are upping me to about 4mb, and you probably already knew i meant AOL as i said thank god im getting my MAC, so obviously not talking about UKFSN, meh im going back to bed. :p

Oh and thanks for answering my question on the 7 day thing. :)

Yeah so will i, as we don't know if come 1st Feb were only going to be able to download at 20k or anything yet as they aint said owt, but i wouldn't rule it out as the likes of Tosscali/Pipex etc... all shape you to 20k on p2p on an 8mb connection. :)

Im not saying that is what AOL will do, or are going to do, but its possible seen as others do it.

I just don't want to take the chance of saying 'nah it'll be alright', then come 1st Feb were shaped to about 20-30k on p2p all day, as then ill be stuck till August, and knowing my luck that will happen so im off, id rather know what they are going to do first rather than go into it blind, and then be stuck till August as said.

yeh i agree, they will probably do the same as talktalk.

There was someone on thinkbroadband who said lets made some bad comments about enta so all the heavy downloaders panic and leave lol. me thinks good idea as it will ease the rate limit.
 
Looks like im on MAX, just checked the status on my router

Downstream is 7648 kbps

Upstream is 448 kbps now.


Im still on 2mb speeds, but thast probably because they don't work weekends, and i got the email about the upgrade being complete today, so my 10 days stabalisation will probably start Monday, thanks AOL.

sorry i have lost track are you on ukfsn now?

I have been on since monday when my ip profile was 6500 but it has been 5500 ever since and slower speeds :(
 
Nope still on AOL, i got an email the other day saying im getting upgraded for free seen as theres now no 2mb Gold (thats what im on now), they said i was getting upgraded on Friday, and today i got the e-mail saying it had been done, so i just went into my router to see if owt had changed just to be curious, and there it was, down 7648 up 448, so i guess the 10 days stabilisation will be starting Monday seen as they don't count weekends. :(

I hope i can still get my MAC and get on UKFSN, im phoning next week for it, i knew i should have done it sooner. :(

Spose if im synching at 7648, then i should be able to get about 7mb on UKFSN anyway.

Nope im wrong, i am in training now, im now down to 7200 up, i thought my speeds would have been going up in bits all day while i was training, but im locked at 2mb still while they getting my sync rate or summit.
