Ahh cool thanks, thats ok then, my mates on Aquiss and i was asking him about it and he says he has to use PayPal every month as they dont take cards or nowt, so i thought UKFSN would be the same seen as they are both resellers. :)

paid for my connection and 1st month on my CC. Following months will come off my CC automatically.

you ordered yet?

Question 1 - I already have a filtered ADSL faceplate which I'd want the engineers to put on when they came to do the install, would they mind? Who installs the BB, do they have their own engineers (UKSN) or is it through BT?
When i had my ISDN taken out and BB installed i bought a filtered faceplate, asked the BT engineer nicely(plyed him with tea and choccy bikkies :D )he fitted it no problem.as they had to fit a faceplate it is no trouble to fit a filtered one instead of an ordinary one
EDIT: i must read more carefully :D ,thought he said BT `were` coming to install new line :o

EVH

UKFSN do not come and install anything at your home. The 'installation' is done at the exchange and you install your own hardware in your home.

You can check their site, but im not sure they do it.

Got my confirmation email today that I will be switched to UKFSN on the 30th.

Means I'll have the full moneys worth of my last month with AOL :D

Just a quick question.

Im just about to phone for my MAC code from AOL, but which option do i choose on the phone, will it be the cancelling one, and then i just ask them for my MAC, and hope they don't fully cancel it, or wil it be one of the other options (just want to make i get the right one as i dont want to fully cancel, just get my MAC code).

Thanks. :)

They won't fully cancel if you ask for your MAC code. I think the transfer process with a MAC has been established so that your ADSL service is not cancelled.

They will probably give you some rubbish about it taking 5 working days as well. Try and politely push for them to do it straight away. Say you have a friend that works for them or something and you know it doesn't take five days to generate a MAC. Worked for me with a different ISP ;)

hth,

aaazza

Thanks. :)

Just phoned, 48hrs he said, the guy was asking why i wanted it, was it due to the CPW, so i said yeah the new terms and conditions im not happy about, the FUP etc..., and he tried to tell me mine wasn't changing, it would remain unlimited blah, blah, blah doesn't affect existing users etc... said they've had quite a few calls on it, and he can assure me it wont change, but i stood my ground, told him i still want my MAC i know it is changing, so he requested it for me and said ill get it through by e-mail within 48 hrs. :D

UKFSN here we come.

Whatever the mail address you give them, make sure you check the junk mail folder for mails from UKFSN. All my confirmation mails and settings etc went in the junk mail

Your main ip address would have been supplied in your confirmation email of migration.

yes it was. Also they gave me the 8 ip addresses too, trouble i am having is i cannot connect to the net unless i use the dynamic setting in the router :(
then it assigns the `main`ip address i was given....but if i try to manually assign that address it won`t let me connect

i can't get downloads above 350kbs.....but i wouldn't say it's poor!

It is poor when you are on adsl max and getting below 1 meg speeds.

Yet when i was on aol 2mb i was getting good 2 meg speeds..
