Im looking at the Office 45 can you confirm that this is a 20:1 contended product?

AFAIK there is no such thing nowadays, you just supposedly get higher priority in times of congestion.

Seems it would be a good bet to go with the office product then, the office 45 seems a good deal imo, just requested my mac code from nildram so will give these a bash.

am now with ukfsn, went live today :) too early to give a performance rating.had a few minutes of worry as after i entered all the user name ,ip address etc....no connection
used the netgear wizard for the router and bang straight away it connected only differences i could see were mtu was then set to 1458,i always used 1500 and instead of vc it was reset to llc
any way up and running, quick check on torrents (only a few mins as don`t want to use up my peak allowance ;) )was connecting @186kbs
max i usually get being 230 on a good day with the wind behind me :)

MTU for UKFSN should be 1492, its on thier site :)

The llc is something I noticed too, it doesnt seem to work VC/MUX but oh well. I also got the initial no connection, but as I say, it stabilised over the day it was connected, and the next day, and now I have very little problems, much less than I'd expected considering this is the dreaded ADSL MAX!

Theres also a page in the UKFSN control panel which tells you your pipe :)

Thats what Im on, same deal as Aquiss, yet slightly cheaper. The dude who you can email, the dude running UKFSN seems to respond to emails sharpish too, me and my dad have both had answers to emails within 24hrs several times, which in the age of big, faceless ISPs is impressive imo.

Im just hoping with the install of Entanet's new pipe early this year, and all the people shifting onto Aquiss and UKFSN, that Entanet doesnt become a good provider that goes downhill, but hey, its a 1 month contract, so they're ****ed if it does :D

Good to hear, is that the Netgear DG834G by any chance, ive got one of them with AOL, and when i set it up for them i just used the auto config wizard and it done it itself, so i could do that on UKFSN, just reset it, and then auto config wizard again, and it will set its self up for UKFSN instead, and so ill only nned to enter my UKFSN username/password when its done, just like i did for AOL ?

Thanks. :)

230k+ is not bad at all as thats 2mb (i get that on AOL's 2mb Gold), and UKFSN start you off on 2mb, so you have 10 days training to do now of what speeds your line can handle.

Ahh cool thanks. :)

just been through all the settings on my Router, can't see the MTU anywhere.

Mind you if i just reset it and redo an auto setup, then it shoud set that anyway like it will for everything else, as all ill need to enter is my UKFSN username/password as said. :p

Just switched over to these the office 90 one, just found out after i had payed that the vat wasn't added so its really £41.13 not £35 with vat as i thought.

Another £10 for 45 gig extra peak aint too bad just have to make sure i use it,
I just hope this isn't a mistake going to these.

How do i check the status of my order for the coming week, or do i have to phone up and check, thought maybe there was a web access part.

I've been with UKFSN for several months now and the service has been great. Good download speeds and not much downtime. Emails and phone calls are answered quickly which is a bonus. However, there seems to be trouble brewing as the 3 pipes are mostly black. Seems like everyone is rushing to use the off-peak download period at 10 pm. Judging from the threads on an (unofficial) entanet forum it looks like we'll be having some sort of capping/throttling in the future. I'll wait and see what happens but I'll be sticking with them till they do anything drastic.

I sill aint had much info of them atm, had the billing invoice which has been payed but have had nothing saying how things are going.

Bit disappointed with these so far, all i had off them was the invoice to pay the bill which i did yesterday and ive had no other contact to tell me how things are going, how did the rest of you on ukfsn go.

When I joined [no longer there] I used my gmail account, and all correspondence ended up in the gmail junk folder, so if you use gmail you'd better check.

I signed up with yahoo mail and thats fine, ive had 2 emails of them 1 Your ebilling details and Pending Broadband order for line number xxxxxxxxx - action required, this when i went online and payed the bill which was yesterday dinner time.
