UKFSN users in plz

i cant understand if i am on max or not if my line is currently only able to handle 2mb and i am on max should i still see speeds abit faster then 2mb,when exchange is busy ect? The way i feel is that i am still on 2mb as i was with zen and f2s befor that.

BT checker said i could only get about 2mb on MAX and im getting 6mb here, whats your upload rate, if its about 288 then BT have stuck you on a fixed 2mb instead of MAX, as on a fixed 2mb you get 2272/288, so you would be best of e-mailing support, explaining it to them, and they should get on to BT to get you done properly.

Not that I even know what they are.. *Goes hunting on Wikipedia*

Edit: They've doubled + some in 10 minutes , also my SNR has come down from high 20's to 6.

Edit 2: Now off-peak is here, and the anti-packetloss job is in play, it seems fine, curse ye early downloaders. :p

I am looking for an isp and am looking at ukfsn after seeing references to it on here. I have a few questions. Apologies if these have been answered in the thread but I am posting in the library and don't have time to read it all.

Firstly, is the service still good or is it becoming overloaded with new signups? How long does it take to get connected after applying? What hardware will I need? I assume from a quick look at the site that they don't provide anything? What is their customer service like if you need to contact them? How do you keep track of how much bandwidth you have used during the limited periods?

thanks

Service is great
1 Week to change over
You need a router/modem and a adsl micro filter.

thats it :)

Yeah service is great, they added a new 155 segment last friday and it showed, i was getting my full 6mb all weekend in the off-peak hrs, and theres a couple of new centrals coming as well now, cracking service, wish id gone on to these ages ago, can't fault UKFSN at all.

You can either find out your bandwidth from your Account on the UKFSN site, or the Enta billing site has a usage monitor to which updates at midnight everynight, this is my first month on and ive only used about 35gb, with only about 12gb of that being peak usage, and im on the MAX 60 package which is 60gb peak, 330gb off peak, only a week to go to, so i think ill hammer it to get my moneys worth. :D :D
