But the Russian upgraded T-90 is a hell of a lot worse than an Indian upgraded T-90, the Russian T-90 isn’t really an upgradeArent all tanks just an "upgrade" its the upgrade that counts.
No Abrams or other current NATO tanks involved, so what do you expect me to take from it?
I expect you to remember that you asked two questions when you see a list of destroyed/captured tanks and take from it that no, it's not "old" tanks being lost. It's every tank the Russians have in rough proportion to the number of them they have.
Who said anything about drones? Although drones 18 thousand feet in the air destroying them is a thing.
Most tanks are taken out up close with NLAWS and Javelinns, how do you counter that?
You don't so the point still stands, this war is proof that tanks are pretty much obsolete and all the words forces now know what they need to counter tanks.
it's a pretty hard fact and hard to deny.
Germany doesn't surprise me but France? And people were worried about voting for La Pen because of her views on Putin?!?
France doesn't surprise me as well.Germany doesn't surprise me but France? And people were worried about voting for La Pen because of her views on Putin?!?
So €273 million sent by 10 member states over 7 years, of which 70% (€191m) was France and Germany, and €152m was from France - according to figures from this article. Most of which is dual use, so not really clear where it went. Meanwhile Russia is spending over $60bn a year on defence. Not sure these weapons are making much difference.
No the reason is they are the attackers and have to advance. Defenders always have the advantage, to take the towns and cities they have to first get there they have no choice but to be in that position. One of the reasons Russian tank losses have been high is the number of times they've put themselves in the classic bottlenecked position without infantry support where the attackers can destroy the lead and rear vehicle(s) then work on the rest at their leisure - something most other armies quickly learnt not to do in WW2.
