Ukrainian army showing off more HIMARS attacks at night.

Their accuracy rate is nothing short of remarkable. You have to wonder about the true extent of Ukraine's targeting capacity, and how it's being facilitated. *cough*pentagon*cough*

I would be amazed if NATO forces weren’t providing some help here with all those AWACS etc flying around the area.

Easy to forget HIMARS is relatively old tech(for NATO anyway) as it was first tested in the late 90's and developed during the 80's..

SOFLAMs in the hands of well trained SF types make it very easy for laser guided things to hit the desired target.

Reported accuracy.
How many shots… how many videos?
Cruise missiles from the Gulf War have the same impression. The post war evaluation gave a somewhat lower effectiveness compared to the highlights reel.

Oh, come on, it's proof positive of accuracy.

If they fired off half a dozen missiles for that effect, it's still good value.

Reported yes because it has evidence to back it up its not a claim wildly picked out of a hat.
I have witnessed it myself on HERRICK numerous times both from MLRS and HIMARS. Extremely reliable and extremely accurate. I was an ISTAR LO for the PTDS/PGSS systems we frequently had to soak target area before and after strikes to confirm targets conduct remote BDA and mitigate collateral etc.
Exactor on the other hand... well... "Approximator" more like

having worked on it for most of my army career, I can assure you it’s one of the most accurate weapons we have, as long as the correct coordinates of the target are given to the launcher it will hit that target

In their default configuration, HIMARS can hit a target within 3-5 metres at maximum range (80km, which is twice the range of a howitzer). They have a proven accuracy rate of 90%.

Zelensky wants the US to give him ATACMS, which have a range of 300km and can also be fired from HIMARS (with some adaptation). Biden is understandably reluctant to do this, due to the political implications of Ukrainian attacks reaching deeper into Russia with US assistance.

Simple answer --- if you use just 1 ATACMS to hit Russian terriority then all ammunition to Himars will cease. Himars will be re-called etc etc along with all military support.

I don't think the US would go that far, but yes the consequences would be significant all round.

I get the feeling russia would stage the whole thing regardless. If Ukraine got ATACMS and used it to take out targets solely in Ukraine it wouldn't be long before russia gathered up enough ATACMS wreckage and planted it next to a burning Russian base near the boarder and claiming it was US supplied weapons that attacked russian territory.
