Yeah I find it weird - their reserves, repair capacity and new production combined of many armoured vehicles and artillery will also run out within about 12 months with current rates of depletion vs replacement. Yet there doesn't seem to be much hurry to ramp up industry towards military ends.

Same with their new [design] IFVs - production is so low they can't replace losses fast enough albeit they've still got loads of very old ones.
Putin is clearly worried about giving a military he doesn't trust enough toys to ride on Moscow, I suspect enough to paralyse them whilst focusing on smaller arms to try to maintain current territory is the goal.

I don't see how they could set their economy on a war footing anyway when they're trying to send all of the military aged males to Ukraine.

There are over 30 million men and same for women fit for military service in Russia and over 1.5 million (though that is going into decline especially with the war) turn 18 each year. Plenty of people yet to mobilise for industry as well as the military.

Seems to be a lot of talk/post at the moment suggesting that Ukraine have got a foothold on the eastern bank of the Dnipro, SE of Kherson. Obviously nothing substantiated. There is rarely smoke without fire though. Anyone have any further confirmation or debunking?

Information is deliberately being kept to a minimum at the moment it seems. Blackout for the Offensive? Well at least the early phases?

Seems to be happening, looks like they might be trying to take one of the bridges to allow them to repair it to get armour across. Certainly sounds like they've established a bridge head and are putting troops over now and are moving to secure the area around the otherside of the bridge.

Makes sense and means once Ukraine clear Russia out to the west they are unable to attack them from behind, question is Crimea first, or do Ukraine push from West to East and up.

I don't think this is the first time Ive heard about the Russians leaving the Dachy, Kherson Oblast and I have my doubts about it now. The Dnipro has now become a big obstacle for Ukraine and giving the Ukrainian forces both sides of it or even the ability to operate on both sides of it as it widens as it get to the ocean just seem like something you wouldn't do without a fight.

Whoa, there's new footage of Ukrainian's clearing out a Wagner trench on the UkraineWarVideo Reddit thread. After pumping half a mag into the hapless foe, they follow up with a grenade into his foxhole which explodes and well lets just say doesn't leave a lot of him for burial. For reference there's footage in Twitter showing what happened before and he was given plenty of opportunities to surrender, given the only outcome for him was death at the point if he said 'no' it makes you wonder what he's being told to train in mind into not giving up.

Just to think his cell in the Gulag was probably bigger then hole he died in.

Orc on Orc violence breaks out in Stanytsia Luhanska (interestingly the region where this happened is deep behind the lines)

Lot of Russian government flights in and out of the US - dunno if related to the UN and/or visits to Cuba.

Unlikely to be visits to Cuba, they have had enough difficulties getting visas for the UN, they were kicking off today because a load of journalists had been denied visas and there were big delays before Lavrov and co got theirs to visit the UN.

Lavrov is/was in Havana.

EDIT: If the info about RSD808 is accurate he returned from Havana to Moscow over the 20th/21st and then flew into New York just now.
