ukraine have already achieved one air kill of a helicopter with artillery (yes, an artillery shell hit an helicopter while it was flying) - maybe they just need more heat seeking artillery shells lmao

One I'm intrigued as to is whether it is possible to use the top attack mode on the NLAW against a (very) low flying helicopter.

Video of UKR special forces infiltrating a Russian trench floating about, poor sods didn't know what hit 'em.

Dont think they had a clue how to fight.

Ukrainian just hiding and walks past and blam.

I did feel sorry for the first two disoreintated didnt have a gun and killed.

Brutal war for both sides hopefully this killing comes to an end soon enough.

That video is popping up everywhere at the moment. Brutal, they really never stood a chance at all! Its clear that the Russians manning that trench have zero combat awareness at all. Like, its kicking off in the trench and they are just running around like headless chickens.
Dude is racking up a kill streak there though! Arthur alone has already queued up a bomb drone...

They are proba conscripts with 2 weeks max training

No only that but probably also completely unaware due to lies where Ukraine are positionally and how effective they are.

You know, "know your enemy"

Fixed that for you.
a lot of the troops will just be normal people drafted in. if they dont fight they will likely be shot by their own side. horrible horrible situation all round. Obviously the ones committing the atrocious war crimes can rot in hell, but in general the blame lies with the higher up.

once this is all over and (hopefully) Russia is kicked out of the Ukr somehow they are going to have to be forgiven and move past it. My friends dad was a German POW captured as a teenager and "forced" to work on a farm in our village (he was a gunner in a german bomber that was shot down iirc).
a truly decent bloke - i only met him in later life but he was always liked as long as i have been born - and none of the locals blamed him (ok this is likely not true and time has forgotten, chances are a bunch probably DID blame him at the time) but over all he was accepted - hence him marrying one of the daughters where he worked.

i get the Ukr soldiors dehumanising the enemy, it is something they likely have to do for their own sanity, but most of the Russians are likely just caught in the middle as well.

Please dont read this as me defending what Russia is doing in any way at all, i am not.......

Yeah. Most of the Ruskies on the frontline are normal people born in the wrong country, their lives tragically sacrificed to satisfy the bloated ego of a narcissistic dictator. I'm happy to celebrate Ukrainian victories - and that inevitably means celebrating the deaths of Russian soldiers - but the deliberately de-humanising language of "evil orcs" is out of place.

100%

Imagine it was the UK that went to war and ended up drafting loads of us up. Forced into a foreign country where you knew if you refused not only would you likely be punished / killed but also your family.
That applies to probably the vast majority of people who have ever fought in war going back to the start of human history.

It's not on the Ukrainians to forgive Russia, it will be on the Russians to make amends and change and prove they are not orcs collectively. none of them are innocent.

That’s the depressing thing, even if Ukrainians push Russia out, I doubt the mindset of the Russians will change.

I think if the conscripts had better leaders at Unit Level we wouldn't be seeing so many atrocities - but the reverse is true and the conscripts - who may not know better are being taught that how they are behaving is acceptable and normal in war.

Russia never paid for its sins after ww2. It never faced justice and trials. The best thing for that country is to lose this war, revolution to replace the government and face reality by paying for their crimes.

And the Russian population is not immune, Russia's problems run very deep and like German citizens in ww2, all Russian people must face reality of what their country has done, face justice and pay for their sins
