whataboutery and misdirection at its finest. Had China stuck to its side of the deal agreed when Hong Kong was returned I think the Taiwanese would be far more accepting of some form of deal with China. Instead democracy was crushed.
 
Apparently the orders to hit the bridge came from London using British missiles said some Russian somewhere.

Well they got it half right.

Unless Russia has dumped a load of additional material there, which isn't impossible but unlikely, the scenario they are talking about is improbable - levels of fallout otherwise (there is a diagram elsewhere) beyond the local zone would be low. You can't just blow up a "modern" nuclear power plant and have a Chernobyl happen.

Are these safety mechanisms designed to stop deliberate sabotage?

Basically China would supply arms through bracs to argentina to take the falkands.
Next it will be greece and crete, africa vs portugal/spain.. france vs italy (islands), russia/china and japan..

Safety mechanisms are irrelevant here. One of the reasons Chernobyl was so bad was the materials there to fuel a runaway fire which released large amounts of airborne contaminants - that material simply doesn't exist in power plants more modern than Chernobyl in the way it did in the type of reactor at Chernobyl.

Doubt it would be too hard to fill the place with wood tbf.

I have friends who live in Odesa which is what concerns me.

From the picture I saw posted in Telegram almost all of Ukraine could be affected by radiation though I don't know how true that is

What happened at Chernobyl is relatively unique to a RBMK failing the way it did - even filling it with wood likely wouldn't replicate that. Not to say it is impossible but you can't just half-arse blow up a reactor and have a similar effect.
 
This is just weird (from the guardian today):

"The Wagner PMC group has published adverts on Russian social media seeking to recruit computer video game players to operate its drones in Ukraine, the Kyiv Post has reported.

It reportedly said the ideal candidate for the role would be aged 21 to 35, in good physical shape, and someone who was used to sitting “straight for hours playing”.
