They are just LARPING

Can you spot the difference here... *IF* he's got internal support then can you figure out why a coup requires more than just getting some guys inside a building capture the flag style... this isn't a paintball game!

If he hasn't got internal support then his days (or even hours are numbered) but with (some) internal support he can actually make an attempt at a coup (if that is his intention) or indeed stop short of that and attempt some sort of topple the head of the MOD move.

So far though some generals have come out in opposition, though there was another report of Russian internal troops/paramilitaries fleeing. I guess from their perspective they're not going to know WTF is going on here and who is backing this or not so... why risk your life if there are some unknown number of other insiders who may or may not have given support to this.

It is of course also possible that he's completely mad and this is the most ridiculously audacious gamble for power possible.

He will never be reported on russian tv. He is no one. He cannot become more popular than Puten. Majority of russians watch tv and he is only being spread on the interwebs.

I wouldn't advise making bold predictions in any direction on this tbh... they're likely to be wrong. The spat between Wagner and the MOD seems to be very real, what happens next though is dependent on too many unknowns... none of us can know who is already in support of the Wagner boss or just in support of toppling Putin or indeed toppling (or killing) Shoigu.

None of us know how many currently have no position at all and may well want to stay out of this for the moment because of those unknowns.

It seems like they're heading for Rostov on Don at the moment, that's apparently the main headquarters for this campaign/the special military operation. We could wake up tomorrow and find that the Wagner boss has been killed already... alternatively, we could wake up tomorrow and find that he's in the HQ in Rostov or he's on his way to Moscow or some local governor has backed him or some generals etc... there are just way too many unknowns here.

At the moment it's kinda irrelevant whether he has support or not. His days are numbered now, might as well go out guns blazing. Maybe he can inspire an uprising in Russia, though the thought of him in command is just as concerning. However, the likely outcome is that him and his band of merry men will never make it to Moscow.

Tanks into Moscow there none left

Sadly Wagner in reality cant do a lot dont have the numbers.
I'm sceptical about the whole thing because Russians being Russian. But 25k is plenty to take the Kremlin at least temporarily, coups have never been about numbers, and more about who is willing to act. does your average Russian soldier want to get into a gun battle with other Russians in downtown Moscow If Wagner gets there, are they willing to go all in and shoot a few police.

Like I say, I'm sceptical of the whole thing, let see what happens.

If by some miracle Prigozhin gets to Putin do you think he'll flat out smoke him or use him as a bargaining chip?

edit- Assuming this is all real of course..

It's absolutely relevant to the point I was replying to (pretty much fundamental tbh..) and it's very relevant to the possible success of whatever he has planned or is attempting to do here.

If he has just some internal support that could have a huge impact on the actions of others who may well want to find reasons to stay out of this.
