Things going well for Putin:

He has brought NATO together in ways he couldn't have imagined.
He has managed to increase NATO members spending on defence budgets.
He has shown NATO where they need to improve production of arms.
He has managed to push Finland to join NATO.
Sweden will follow shortly.
He has managed to build a battle hardened army in Ukraine.
He has shown how warfare has changed and increased every Western nations spending on drones.
He has managed to convince the populous of countries with nuclear weapons NEVER to give them up (RIP Greenpeace). I am so glad right now that we are a nuccear power.
He has managed to acelerate Russia's population collapse by taking out a significant part of his younger generation (either in the war or fleeing the country).
He has instigated an attempted coup in Russia.

A master strategist. Slow clap.

Not seen any evidence of fighting so far, and only 2 tanks and about 4 armoured fighting vehicles with some light armour and trucks in support maybe a couple of hundred men at most.
 
Interesting developments, looks like Prighozin has gone too far, unless it was always his intention to try a coup.

Large national guard convoy setting out from Voronezh towards Rostov - but they appear to be light forces without armour.

(They are gonna be cannon fodder if they engage even the limited Wagner forces in the videos above as is).

Assuming this isn't Russian satire I think it cleanly proves that no matter how much effort you put into controlling the flow of information... it doesn't matter.

The national guard from what little info I've seen seem to be focused on protecting the highways than the cities, they've seemingly sacrificed Rostov and just stand on the highways trying to hold them off. I wonder what the odds are of Wagner just capturingall the higher ups in the military and government buildings and then fleeing back over the border saying mission accomplished we showed the ministry of defence not to mess with us, next time we come for Shoigu in Moscow


As for Voronezh footage of shooting has just appeared on the highway leading to the city. If it's national guard shooting at Wagner then the forward Wagner units are half way to Moscow

Looks like groups of Wagner leapfrogging along the highway (don't think these are forward units as such rather they've sent different groups out with different objectives tying into a larger plan) - possibly anticipated this, so catches the national guard on the wrong foot. Interesting. Does seem to be clashes near Voronezh.

If they have a plan to tie up the possible FSB/national guard relief for Voronezh then I'd have to hand it to Prigozhin for pulling a bit of a blinder, if.
