The Cold War was essentially won by bankrupting the USSR. The same is required now. We don’t even need to spend the money , just make it abundantly clear that we are 100% prepared to.

I would also like to see the strategy and spending broadened in scope to the whole of the NATO boarder with Russia.

that they would edit clips from 3 hollywood films to make a "montage of cool destruction?" Ok ... well i guess its illegal copyrighted material at least.
Not defending russia but i think there's plenty of "westerners" sitting there fapping to the idea of Moscow being nuked too. Just no ones bored enough to do an edit maybe.....

im pretty happy to follow the "no one nukes anyone" line of thought....Maybe ill do a montage for twitter.

It was always going to happen IMO, the politicians are getting bored, and a lot of eyes are turning to the situation in the ME now, rightly or wrongly.
All Putin has to do is keep going, and when facing an enemy that doesn't care about losses then that's always going to be a problem.

Vladolf keeps losing ground, troops and equipment at an unsustainable rate and the sheer numbers advantage (also limitations imposed from the west) is the only thing standing between the Ukrainians giving the Russians a ROFL stomping.

Because it feeds into peoples biases. Some people WANT Russia to have made stuff like this just so that they can hate them just a little harder than before, and the fact (which should be obvious to anyone with a brain) that this random twitter user dropping propaganda might not really be getting real Kremlin info, will be completely ignored by people with higher IQ levels than you'd imagine, because the need for hate overrules common sense.

It's almost like Russia illegally invading a country and the behaviour of its troops isn't enough for some people, they need to continually find more things to hate about them, irrespective of how silly it seems to the rest of us.

I was for the most part way to young to remember the Soviet Union and the Cold first person (Born in 84). However I reckon it wasnt much different, granted there wasnt as much access to information back then. When you look back at the paranoia of the "Red Threat" back in the 60's/70's and to some extent the 80's, "Commies" were the big bad boogie man of the time, especially when you look at USA. The media, entertainment from that era just fed into peoples fears, again not that different from whats happening these days.
