No man you didn't because none of us speak Russian and there are no subtitles and no English dub, you posted a Twitter link with a clip in Russian where I can't establish context or tone or the exact language. You're saying "he's literally mocking" yet from what I understand he said he was expecting more pointed questions and bragged/retorted that he would've had pointed answers, is that mocking? Is saying the questions weren't as "pointed" as he expected the same as mocking?

It's interesting, he's basically saying he was prepared for and wanted a combative interview, but was surprised that he actually let him speak and didn't interupt him which was unusual for a Western journalist - so essentially a back handed compliment using tongue in cheek language. I suppose it depends on your views, some people would obviously want him to go there and basically want Carlson to go there and accuse him of being a war criminal etc, other people just wanted to listen to him speak and get his view on the situation.

Aside from the history of how Putin treats Russian journalists who dare to criticise him, if he "was prepared for and wanted a combative interview" then why, out of all the genuine heavyweight political journalists the west could offer, did Putin pick a renowned anti-Ukraine, pro-Russian propagandist like Tucker Carlson?
