It would really depend on the military; if they back Putin then Civil unrest isn't going to last long; if they don't back him I imagine he would be spending some time in a remote dacha somewhere while the military take over

I dare say a lot of the 'invaders' are conscripts too. This is going to be horrible, and for all the Ukranians gearing up for a fight I can see them getting steam rollered while the west looks on.
 
One of the things that amazes me about all of this are all the images and videos of military buildups, all the websites tracking military movements available to anyone.

Its something that makes me wonder if something like D-Day would have been possible today or whether all of this social media stuff would have meant the Germans would have been fully aware of what we were doing, where we were coming from, where we were landing and when

The government would have to basically make the mobile & internet providers go offline for something like that
 
There is a sudden 12km/7.5miles traffic jam on the road from Belgorod towards the Ukrainian border and the road from Crimea into Ukraine is clogged
