Though the MOD seems to think it unlikely Russia can build up the man power through volunteers to make any decisive changes in the war - maybe something NK man power might be pushed into maybe.

I suspect the goal will be to put pressure on Kyiv again potentially as part of a new winter offensive if conditions allow for it but at the same time not sure Russia has the strategic patience or the demands of the current situation to wait that long.

Yup, seems more and more likely this whole Kherson bear trap thing is the plan they're going with... thousands of Russian troops cut off would be rather nice! Supplies are already stretched, ammunition stockpiles gone boom and plenty of aircraft (and presumably some pilots and technicians too) gone boom.
