Ultimate Game Room

Thats what I felt too if we are honest, and like I said just cos' the dude is showing off his work doesnt make him a pleb.

I cannot imagine the work gone into just making the menu / flv's work etc and he updates it often. Madness but so what, a hobby he clearly is good at haha.

Just watched the video again and its just mega ace.

Keep us updated EQDruid, if you cant do a video take some pictures for us! That would be ace to see.

Cheers.

I would love to see a "step by step" of the control board :D

I converted my garage about 18 months ago now. Did the work myself, cost about a grand for the wooden floor, insulation etc. Boarded up garage door put radiators in and capret etc.

After that stuck a dirty big Mitsubishi projector in and a 360 and PS3. The screen is 6ft and I love it. Best £1k I ever spent. Proves you can do it with less cash

This is just mad as hell

We need a OcUK member to start one like this, albeit on a smaller UK budget! :D

If you've got a spare garage, then turf out everything and get building!

We can OcUK meets at the said persons house! :p:cool:

Sorry was alittle busy today... decided any game room wouldnt be complete without a pinball machine... so here she is in all her glorry!!

Ain't she a Beautiful!?!

I will get back on the Arcade cab and link all the Emu's I have. Hope it helps the rest of you out =)

EQ dood, you mentioned on your vid the guys who made the control board for you but I couldnt quite make it out, could you tell me who made it for you?

Scott from mameroom.com made the Control board. Brian Hoffman and Bill, came out and gave me a hand with setting up hyperspin to my PC Both amazing coders.

How did you get the multi coloured buttons? Did you request this from Scott? It doesnt seem to be a selection he offers on his website though?

Do you think he may offer any tips about how to wire such a thing up :D ?

The LED Buttons and sticks where requested buy me. like I said in an earlier post, that it was in attract mode, but You can control if any lights are on, what color they are, and when and if they flash.. Ill make another video showing you guys how it works.

heres a quick video of what it looks like inside.

I think its sweet, but my taste are a little off =p

I made a video of the inside of the cab. there is over 400 different connections and soldering points. it looks daunting. But do able if you have the patients.

Dood EQ, if you could post all the nitty gritty stuff pertaining to the LEDs and the solder job I would LOVE to see that.
Any videos pics, or step by step tutorials you may have done would be fantastic.

Unlike others I actually love the attract mode flashing buttons. Think its really funky.

Could you tell me what you used to drive all the LEDs? How you powered them up etc?
Does the Control board interface via USB to your PC box?

Pics of your PC Box would be swell too :p Seriously looking into doing something like this myself.

I notice/think that's a Data East pinball machine. Did you have to do any restoring of it? I think the dot matrix displays are one of the things that broke on 'em. I've been trying to get hold of the Hook one (a la peter pan) from 1992.

Can't find any that aren't broken/need work doing on them that don't cost a fortune, and can't find a reliable source for spares (since maybe there aren't any")

However, if you know of somewhere that has/can get spare bits for those machines I'd love to know.

Keep up the good work (and invite me over for a BBQ:D)

just saw the other video you put up

looks funky

hows the noise level there, seems quite noisy in the room, fans / hardware running, also do you leave the stuff on all day?
