Ultimate PC Build....

Having just sold my house, and having made about £60k I have decided to build an ultimate PC and use my current pc as a server for my wireless internet and video streaming....

I am thinking AMD now as these seem a bit more stable these days, and my 3.8ghz P4 is so noisy when the fan kicks in....

So....

Spec me an ultimate box, say 2gb ram, dual core 64bit, 2x radeon cards that will give uber performance... and max reliability...

Price is not a problem, upto say £4k

Not bad, don't like the case or the HDD's, a bit light on storage IMHO, so would require a change there

i wouldn't say so much a change, as an addition.

keep the raptors as the boot drive/OS/Apps/Games and add some more drives for data, say 2 x Hitachi Deskstar 7K500 NCQ 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache

Case is a matter of taste, i wouldnt choose that case either
it was just a starting point

as above get roughly the spec of the Ultima but put it into a lian-Li case and putVapo LS on the chip and see what this badboy FX60 will do

is crossfire really that superior to SLi? cause you could have 2 massivly oveclocked 7800GTXs (is an nvidia fanboy)

and what about the akasa eclips case? while you have the moey go for that as it's the most gorgious case i've ever seen *drooles over it* only about £100 with side pannel too

but are you planing on oveclocking the comp dude? because you could fork out for a really smart watercooling system too for £200~£300

Er..that won't work. Those cards have 2 GPU's on them, it's kind of SLI on one card. Or will it turn out like that Quad SLI Dell machine? The Renegade 600 or something?
