Does such a thing exist? Gotta be good looking and reliable for a first car. Not definatly going to get a car but i might so i want to look at the posibilities. Manual and a nice nippy engine which sounds good. Recommend me something

If you can find a decent 306 DT then that'd be good because they have solid engines although they have the usual french electrical problems

The injection one is 75bhp (what I had), and then there is the XS which is 85bhp but they're definitely not reliable, nippy yes.
Ahh didnt realise there was any difference in engine between the XS and GT so i just assumed a pre cat one would also be 85bhp.

I actually want another 205, I felt very connected to the road (if that makes sense), I knew what the car was doing and it was a right laugh to drive.
If the OP wants more info on the 205 I can write up a longish summary of what I think of the 205 if you like.

You cant really be too choosey about looks when you have less than £1k to spend. 306's are generally fairly pricey and certainly wont be very quick.
You could try a Mk2 Golf GTi 8v, insurance is likely to be high though.
