Underrated/cult movies?

Maybe a bit grim for a lot of folk? Great film though, and Aragorn's acting is top notch.

I watched this in the cinema alone when it came out. I had an afternoon off work and nothing to do. So I popped in to watch it. Luckily the Samaritans were there to stop me ending things afterwards.

DO NOT watch this film if you are looking for a happy go lucky comedy. Great film though.

Ill give it a watch, not disliked a film of his so far.

By the same director, Enemy is something I stumbled across in recent years and would absolutely consider it an underrated gem.

Some quality looking films posted.

Same as @gingergundog, always enjoyed Jake Gyllenhaal films. The Enemy sounds right up my street, fascinated by the spooky mystique around the legend of the doppelgänger and having never heard of this film, going to watch!

Kung Fu Hustle, hast to be up there with Starship troopers 1 and the final one (where they simply ham it up for kicks). The middle one sucked.

Evil Dead 3 - boom boom stick ..

Le Dobermann

Once we warriors - Jake the Mus, it's an absolute emotional rollercoaster.

Howls Castle.

The Russian films - Daywatch and Nightwatch.

I haven't read everything so hopefully nothing obvious...

Immortal (aka Immortel)

And I'm going to add an animated film too, although I'm not sure it's cult...
Redline

Just some random ones which are definitely cult but are they underrated...
Spaceballs
Space Truckers
Battle Beyond the Stars (you'll know the 'female anatomy' ship if nothing else)
Black Hole (1979)
Serenity (firefly movie)

Jacobs ladder

I've only seen it once, but it stayed with me for weeks afterwards. Also one of my favourite bands used a sample from it ("I see devils tearing your life away...") which I recognised instantly. Added to the surreal feeling, like that film needed any help in that department!
