Uni & Degrees

I said in general, if you take an average! I did not say they're easy either.

But yes, there is a reason why I chose not to do engineering at uni. :)

Finished my final year, the university was pretty mediocre, gulag campus with social activities solely consisting of drinking.

Lol ok, I'll let you off the hook this time :D

Although I'm sure most subjects have tough exams, aside from maybe David Beckham studies (thanks Nick1988). But then again, some people may just really really really want to know all about David Beckham and if so, who am I to judge?

As above if you're not a heavy drinker then uni can become tedious at times, plenty of good times to be had obviously but it's not a non-stop party for a lot of people.

Meh, first year, all deadlines approaching, or actually most have passed. No real exams on this course, just portfolio/coursework. I can get it done and would hope for a 2:1 overall.

Don't enjoy it though in terms of living here and would rather just be in a decent job. Unsure about continuing for now, no housing sorted for one thing!

Not the student party hard type? :p

My Facebook is just full of pics of incredible times from this year, mostly from booze :D

Well, a lot of people who (again not all) find the exams really hard are also those who claim to drink like a fish everyday....

I miss being a student. Almost a year since I graduated.
Same here. I miss being able to come and go when I please. I have a work day of 10am to 6pm now, but I'd much prefer to work 1pm to 9pm. As a student I could work when I preferred and it's a shame I can't do that now because I've got the sort of mentality where I'll quite happily work when no one is standing over me but its easier to work in a group when everyone else is around!

I'm doing CompSci and I'm in my second year. Had my networks exam today, 3 more to go. Can't wait to start my placement in June. Hopefully it will be a nice change.

Good luck everyone. :)

Not every day of the week, or where it is the only activity available. Seriously, there's nothing else to do, just a crawl across the 9 bars on campus.

First year, and it's been good times. Haven't had as much fun as I thought. And haven't really been out term 2 + 3 :S I guess that's my own fault.
Hope to make much better use of my time next year though.

Work wise, it's been ok.. should've put a lot more effort into it than I have.

First exam tomorrow, then 18th, 19th, 26th, 27th, 31st, 2nd, 3rd, and then finally I finish on the 7th. 9 exams!!! :(
Sucks to be me.. but at least I finish relatively early and can enjoy 4 months of doing nothing :D

Well me and my mates do do quite a bit of other stuff, but alcohol for us has generally meant good times.

And so far, good girls :D

I'm actually texting one now that I metin sparrows (the SU club for Greenwich, where I study) on Wednesday, and I think I may be on for a relationship :D

First year almost done with, just four exams to do now and a couple of them I am in the happy position of not actually needed to pass them to pass the module.

So a week of revision to go before the first one. Been an odd year to be honest, met some good people, met some less good people, wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be either.

Right, so those children have the GCSE thread, and the A Level one too...

As a mature student most of my fellow students still fall under the "children" bracket. :D

Haha I don't think I or a lot of my mates can be classed as adults either :D

I just really don't care about my exams at all, done maybe 3 hours revision total so far, had a terrible few months and just wanna get home for summer at the moment :(

European and International Law is the title, I think. Everyone's fairly fun, and there are farrrrr more girls than guys, on my course.

It's all about joining a sports team, TBH.

That's because all the girls want to study European law so they can get together with some hot Italian guys.

Eugh, there's about 2 hot girls on my course. The rest are guys with the majority being those kinda geeks who think they know more than everyone else.

Graduated two years ago and feeling very glad I went when fees were £3k. Really not sure it's worth it at £9k to do anything if it's not engineering or medicine.
