Managed to break 2.1k with my 780Ti Classy........
cpu 3960x @ 5.47 (Phase Change) EK watercooled EVGA 780Ti Classified 1450/ 2080 using software controller (1.425v, 1.8v, 1.178v, 508kHz).

Well tried everything to beat my Arch Enemy's Score --> setter 3770k:4.5GHz SLI 670:1267/1753>Score=1850, with 4820k:4.6GHz SLI 670:1240/1745>Score=1849 could not squeeze anymore out of my 670's.
Even though my CPU was at 4.6 to setters 4.5 it was GPU Speed was the deciding factor, humbug 1 point in it - Score=1850 / Score=1849, good one bud enjoyed trying to beat it with my CPU at 4.6 which is for my PC 24/7 setting.
Result Score 1849 at 4820k:4.6GHz SLI 670:1240/1745

Have you tried turning hyperthreading off.
Just done a first run at the requested settings, with no tweaks what so ever i got a score of 1670
My screenshot came out black, so did the second one, tried F12 but no idea where it went

If you pressed F12 at the end of the run, you should find your screenshot in user\Heaven\screenshots\ directory as a *.tga file.
Does not help at all Kaaps, l think its the GPU's are at their limit.
Will leave it for know and have a tinker another time.

Disabling hyperthreading only gives a few extra points on a good day and it was worth a shot as I think you were only looking for another 2.

U Cad, been closing things down to try to get the xtra 2 points, will give it another go tomorrow.
If l had a bit more voltage GPU wise no probs.
Don't use a warmed up PC
Turn on PC from cold, apply settings and go for it.

Unfortunately the 290Xs are not that fast individually.

The Titans are a lot faster individually on this bench and the same goes for 2 and 3 way but when using 4 cards the GPUs gets bottlenecked by the CPU. The difference is the 290Xs although slower individually are more efficient in a 4 way setup and give a higher score for a given CPU clockspeed.
If the resolution is raised to 1600p and the CPU bottleneck is removed, the 4 Titan's win easy.
