Unigine OpenGL/Direct3D9 Benchmark

I take a massive hit when I enable blur, DOF & HDR on my X-Fired X1900's, down from a respectable 2239 using the OP settings, to 550 :o

Guess an upgrade is called for at the end of the year on the next core refresh :D

so this raped my 7600GT, its certainly showing its old age now :p
oh and HDR wouldnt enable (not with AA enabled anyway)

and with no AA but HDR enabled

Not bad, but I'm thinking for certain cards, things are more optimised than others. Also, maybe it's just my card, but some of the effects looked ghastly, in particular the motion blur and depth of field.

EDIT: Come to think of it the scores reflect pretty well on the capability of the cards. So far, going by the scores posted it seems:

4 x 7600GT = 2 x X1900XT = 8800GTX

Which is fairly accurate. It's only the 2900XT that's out of place.

And nVidia 7 series cards - seems a lot of effects are rendered in software with them for some reason dropping the fps considerably...

7800GT really showing its age, not too bad I suppose :( My windows install is terrible too, could probably add 3-5FPS to that with a clean install.

DirectX:

OpenGL:

e6300 @ 2.8ghz
2x1gb ddr2 @ 800mhz

If its windowed it may go to 2d clocks but nvidias dont have them only ATI.
I use rivatuner so I do have a slower clock in 2d than 3d, I'll retry full screen

Edit: locks up when I try and go full screen

Just downloaded this demo, and I have to say that its quite nice.

But there is a setting that really impressed me - something called DOF (not sure what it means). It kinda puts one part of the picture into focus - nice and sharp - with others at different distances out of focus, very lifelike. This could add more realism to games.

Depth Of Field, newer games are going to use it like crysis. just lots of nice eye candy, but it can make some people "car sick"!

Yeah i dont like DOF, i prefer it off and to have a sharper image in the distance, personal preference...also seems to bring fps down a fair bit when its on :(
