United States Grand Prix 2012, Austin - Race 19/20

So, predictions?

I'm going for:

Vettel
Hamilton
Kimi
Someone
Someone
Alonso

And for the forums to then explode into a sea of "he doesn't deserve it, its all the car"

Alonso
Kimi
Webber

Vettel DNF (wishful thinking)
Hamilton DNF (inevitably :p )

I think it's excellent you can conclude this already, probably before half the teams have even finished assembling a prototype 2013 car :p

It's a reasonable assumption to make considering the stability in the regulations and how the car's relative form are ending up this year.

Don't mind him tummely. Kenai is getting frustrated due to the RBR domination and doesn't like to reminded that next year, it is likely to continue. ;)

The Red Bull certainly wasn't the fastest machine out there at the start of this year, compared with it's utter domination throughout 2011.

There is a good chance it will still be quick next year, but I find it somewhat amusing to factually state at this stage that only one person is even capable of competing with it at all next year, when this year it hasn't been as strong as it was last year.

To be honest if Vettel wins this year, I can't see him not winning a fourth.

Arguably if Ferrari can produce a half decent car Alonso might challenge.
Kimi could compete, but I think he has to be willing to take a few more risks to capitalise on a few more podiums. Also however much I like his non-chap ant attitude I can only help but think if he out a few hours into the simulator he could be fantastic considering how well he has done so far, with this outward impression of not researching and practicing huge amounts.
Hamilton simply isn't going to be in the running in the merc.
The mclarens might compete, if only they could get reliability sorted.

I really think Vettel will win it today, Alonso will fight hard as always but I think Vettel will run away and hide.

Also just spotted this on twitter.

Also a few rumours that Ferrari have changed Massa's gearbox so he drops behind Alonso, so Alonso starts on the clean side of the grid.

i think hamilton is in with a good chance today, the tire wear is so low that we mite actually see some drivers pushing a bit add to that that he has nothing to lose, he wont be tip toeing around vettel.

hopefully someone will take out vettel anyway.

That would be nonsense, as teams can't change change a gearbox unless there is a proven fault.

So if any change has taken place, it's ensure that Massa's gearbox lasts the race.

Vettel
Hamilton (Assuming he don't have a issue)
Webber
Raikkonen
Alonso

That's the order I hope they finish. Realistically, Alonso will probably get the 4th he needs in front of Kimi or Mark.
