United States Grand Prix 2012, Austin - Race 19/20

Will be good to see everyone at a brand new track. I think it will be a bit like Canada were tyres last only a few Laps due to the track having zero rubber.

I want the season to end at this race and get next season going, we all know how this one will end
Want to see how the new driver team combos work out!

Grosjean to take out Vettel (to even the score of course) Alosno to win, Brasil pours down and its a clean slate - anyones game! ;)

or Vettel walks it and wins at the weekend :(

I have been really looking forward to this race so I hope it doesn't disappoint.
I fear that a certain German driver will win. :(

Looking forward to this race.

Enjoy. :)

The free practice sessions should be worth watching - going to be a lot of track action as the drivers learn the circuit and find the limit.

The Circuit of the Americas will feature a single DRS zone on its longest straight, the FIA has confirmed.

The activation zone is expected to be positioned 650m before the turn 12 corner.

Must remember to get grandparents sky detailso.
Hopefully the landline here will manage or I may have to hammer my 3 data allowance.

Anyone know what sky go will be like on a 46inch plasma?
Also the sound I take it is in 2.0? If so.. Surround decode option

More I look at the track more I think my initial thoughts were wrong

Just reading online there.....had no idea that in the last race Sauber did a pitstop basically as fast as Mclaren.

Mclaren 2.8s
Sauber 2.82s

Impressive stuff from Sauber.

Always thought Sauber were a better team waiting to come out than they actually appear

the Fubar with BMW could have set them back a few years of course (imo BMW didnt give the team long enough to grow into a front line team), and forcing PS to come back into the fold after retiring.

Really?

I think BMW were the driving force behind moving them from a midfield team to knocking on the door of the front runners.

Yes they left them in the lurch when they jumped ship, but I think BMW actually did a good job of moving them forward.

Gotta be at least one RBR on pole. Mclaren seem to have improved lately. hopefully Ferrari have got something decent as well or Alonso is gonna start on the third row and Vettel will cruise off into the distance. :(

edit: Forgot about Lotus. They might pop up in qualy too! :p
