United States Grand Prix 2015, Austin - Race 16/19

I think you should look at the diversity in Sports Car and GT racing. F1 is a few rules away from a spec series.

Which have restrictors and other things to control BHP. The engineers don't come up with "Double diffusers" or "F-duct" in other series. F1 is open to interpretation of those rules. That's why I think the ground effect will be exploited.

Your aware of the Nissan GTR LM Nismo, right? That things a fully legal LMP1 car that will have 1250BHP, tiny 9" rear tyres and is front wheel drive! Sticking a little pipe connected to your rear wing, or adding an extra inch to a diffuser is pathetic.

F1 is full of interesting yet small innovative ideas because that's all the freedom the engineers have. Meanwhile in other series people are reinventing ways to go racing.

The 4 teams in LMP1 have 4 completely and totally different engine and hybrid setups. F1 has 4 versions of exactly the same thing.

The budgets being spent at Le Mans for what is effectively 1 race a year are insane compared to most of the F1 grid though.

Just watching the team principles press conference and watched the drivers conference earlier... Christ these things are some of the most awkward bits of television I've ever watched...

This might not happen...or perhaps a Monday race? Where is the next race, will it be affected? This hurricane completely escaped my radar...and most other peoples it would seem.

If qualifying gets postponed, can get away with a 24hr pass.

Qualification, manchester derby and race.

Anyone seen the Red Bull/Honda rumour that's now doing the rounds?

After saying "We will leave F1 unless we can get a competitive engine" Honda would surely be the punch line to a joke?
