my overdrive tab is all greyed out. unlocked 6950 with modded script.
Without looking through all the whole forum threads what gives better performance?
If you was to unlock the Shaders on the 6950 Bios - how does this compare with a full flash to 6970 in terms of performance.
In other words whats the best thing to do?
the unlock Shaders 6950 Bios at 6970 clocks/voltage uses less power than the 6970 bios, for some reasonWithout looking through all the whole forum threads what gives better performance?

Cool, I've seen a lot of reports of cards failing on Techpoweup but I think thats more down to people using silly volts and overclocks.easyrider said:6970 flash
Iv'e been gaming loads playing back HD etc.. loads and have forgotten I have flashed it been working flawlessly
It was your post in another thread that got me curious actually, I'm guessing you have benchmarked with 6970 bios as well? in terms of benchmarks are they equal then?gareth170 said:the unlock Shaders 6950 Bios at 6970 clocks/voltage uses less power than the 6970 bios, for some reason
i'm using the unlock Shaders 6950 Bios now @ 930/1450 1.175vIt was your post in another thread that got me curious actually, I'm guessing you have benchmarked with 6970 bios as well? in terms of benchmarks are they equal then?
i just got my Powercolor one and unlocked to 6970 and got a couple of computer freezes. Flashed back to 6950 and it was ok.
I've gone up to 6970 again but dropped the clocks back to stock 6950 levels to see what occurs.
Which bios version did you use?
If you haven't already try the Asus one as it has a slightly higher voltage so may fix the freezing issues.
whats the max volts you would want to be putting on these cards ?
try 10.12a driverok am i missing something stupid?
i got the verified after using asus bios and cmd route.
now i get no detected gpu? do i need new drivers? i thought i wouldnt? [mine came off the xfx 6950 dvd]
anyone ?
1.300 for most. There has been some using up to 1.350 but I'd remain in the 1.100 - 1.300 area, unless they are watercooled. If you try above 1.300, do so at your own risk.
