Well received my ASUS 6950 this morning at a bright and early 8am!!
Installed it and formatted (other reason for format) and booted in to windows no trouble at all..
used the downloadable batch file to flash it and flash went well all seems ok and its running @ 6970 clocks !
Question is can I push it to 900? with out much trouble? and should I reinstall drivers now that Ive flashed it?

Anyone else having issues with noise or more importantly heat generated by the bios modded 6950? mine spins up the fan and slows down then spins up and slows down! when running games...
Question is will it do the card any harm? or sould I force the fan to stay at a certain speed?

Quick question - presumably the Asus card currently on a TWO offer on OCUK is a reference card, and will unlock? It certainly looks stock, but want to double check before I click buy!
If you read the first line of the features it says...

Guys, would it be worth it to buy a 6950 for flashing if I'm being held back by an E8400(at 3.6ghz)?
Also, is there actually any difference between the various manufacturers these days, beyond an actual ability to be flashed, only it seems that there isn't a focus on accessory bundles that I'm sure I remember there being way back.

Sorry guys iv lost track of everything thats going on here since i started reading this thread when it first began.
I unlocked my HIS 6950 just after x-mas with the 6970 bios. I have not done anything since then to the card. Is there more shaders to unlock or more FPS to gain through higher overclocks ? By glancing through quickly i guess i can Oc further with afterburner and increasing the voltage, would i be right in assuming this would work on a HIS card and not just MSI considering afterburner is MSI ?
