Edit: Should read the thread...seems they are enlightened in Malaysia and they only imprison you for changing/denying the religion that was imposed on you.

How can you honestly be expected to decide if you wish to marry somebody without ever being alone with them!? Surely love is a natural thing and they are going against that? I just do not understand why people with these sort of ideals are given any sort of credibility.

No religion has ever preached marriage through intimate knowledge though have they? It's mostly just about obedience.

Love a natural thing? It might be in humans, but we're hardly the most numerous species.

Surely you can be a muslim and interperate the Qu'ran different to other people. Its like homosexuality being condemed by the bible, but I'm sure there are plenty of homosexuals who would claim to be christians.

I personally am an aethist, but I think people should be able to practice whatever the hell they want as long as it doesn't affect other people. Which in this case is exactly what the 'morality police' are doing.
