Tyre advice...
...for a lazy idiot (probably). I have a 2009 CLS 350 CDI, does about 2000 miles a year, amd after 3 years of ownership the tyres are a bit rotten (tiny cracks etc). MOT and service due soon, will get this done at the local Merc dealership having already subscribed to the 4 year service plan (not interested if that makes me seem like more of an idiot!).
First question:
Fronts are continental run flats size 275/35R18
Rears are continental run flats size 245/40R18
I have read those off the walls so guessing correct since it has fancy wheels and airmatic does that sound right?
Second:
Various online places quote about £150 a tyre fitted, even at home which is fine, however should I expect the pressure sensors etc to be dealt with accordingly as part of that service? Any experience of Merc Dealer tyre prices appreciated as yes, I've been too lazy to phone them to ask yet, but would expect to have to pay >=£200 a pop (hopefully not a prophetic pun!)
Sorry it's such a dull question.
Thanks all in advance.
