**Unofficial Tyre Thread**

I'd be incredibly surprised if you can get a Continental Runflat fitted for £150 in 275/35/18. This is a fairly rare and expensive size. I think you'll be doing very well to get change out of £200 a tyre.

This might be a good chance to think about getting rid of the runflats.

Thankyou all, you have confirmed that I need to get someone who knows what they are doing to look into this :-)

It's got fancy wheels (eta-stock ones not aftermarket), and the last time I had to buy tyres for a car was about 15 years ago and they were all the same size - it was easy!

Many thanks for the responses.

Plenty, but have been advised the tyres are 5/6 years old, and suffer from degradation from all sorts of sources and need to be changed. Appreciate that might not be true as such and I may be misinformed, but lets just assume I need/would likethem changed.

Many thanks for the reply though

There is no need to replace 5yr old tyres. Sure, when they're 20 years old worry about it.

The OP might be doing his 2k miles on track days for all we know. - or just thrashes it from top to bottom and back on M6 :)

I am with the OP on comfort no matter what. ;)

Yes that's correct - it's a long journey car and is treated as such. I do a "special" 30 odd mile round trip down the M23 to fill it up on an early Sunday morning now and again. All other journeys are 50 miles each way at least. We have a golf to run around the burbs in.

Would be even comfier with a petrol, and cheaper once the bills start coming in on a clogged up diesel.
I prefer not to have to get out to fill up if I can. The trip computer says the range is 750 miles ish once full, but I get somewhere about 500 miles out of it. I did look for a petrol version first, but rare as hens teeth I'm afraid and the diesel doesnt sound too bad and is quick enough.
