Yep best tyres on the rearI’ve just ordered 2 Pilot’s 5. For £197 fitted. I’m I right in thinking they should stay on the back and keep the ditch finders on the front?

If the backs are barely legal, replace them first. Then look at doing the ditch finders.Don’t Judge!!
I have a set of Ditch finders on the front Imperial ecosports 2. Car dealer replaced them. Currently on the front and only a couple of months old.
Both rears are mismatched and both just about legal. Bridgestone and premium contact 6.

A3 1.5

I had brand new Linglongs fitted on the front of my Mondeo when I bought the car last year. They were rubbish and they skidded slightly in damp conditions when I accelerated harder, couldn't handle the diesel torque.Don’t Judge!!

Got the pilot 5 on yesterday at the rear and they sure do have a nice sidewallI had brand new Linglongs fitted on the front of my Mondeo when I bought the car last year. They were rubbish and they skidded slightly in damp conditions when I accelerated harder, couldn't handle the diesel torque.
I got rid of them despite only doing 3k miles on. As suggested above please replace them with better tyres once the rears are done. I had RoadXs on the rear and just like yours they were getting close to being worn out.
Usually a full set will help with more discount if you can.![]()

Completed the cashback claim yesterday so hopefully will be getting 40quid back soon.
Can't really go wrong with Goodyear.
Unless you have the cracking issue described above!
Sadly seems to be a problem beyond just Goodyear recently. I've seen Bridgestone and Pirelli with the same kind of premature cracking. (Though the Bridgestones tend to be around the blocks rather than sidewall).

Add Michelin to that list. The 3 year old Super Sports on my front wheels are getting close to needing replacing because of the cracking, even with a good 3-4mm left.Sadly seems to be a problem beyond just Goodyear recently. Take it as a blessing. Super Sports are ass. Trying to speed up the process drifting every where but they seem to last quite well!Add Michelin to that list. The 3 year old Super Sports on my front wheels are getting close to needing replacing because of the cracking, even with a good 3-4mm left.
Eagle F1 AS6 fitted today. They seem ok so far definitely a little softer than the PS4S and a little bit more noise as they have no foams but perform very well. Seem to handle the power ok with a little less slip than the PS4S. Have to see how they go over the next few months but so far all good.
They smell nice too can’t beat new tyre smell… lol
That’s a solid price to be fair. I paid just over £230 fitted for the same Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s last year. Might be worth checking Blackcircles or TyreLeader as they sometimes throw in discount codes, but £210 delivered is already pretty competitiveThe amount of tyre requests/questions we get on here I thought I would put together an unofficial tyre thread to reduce the amount of new threads that arise.
So I'm after 2 new front tyres in 225/40/18, and I want Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 - (225/40 R18 92Y XL). Cheapest I have found so far is Camskill and Lovetyres @ £210.98 delivered. Can anyone find a cheaper price?
