Unreal Engine 4, exclusively to target consoles

Not surprised tbh. Gears/Biochoc colossal sellers on the console. Sod knows how much money was lost buy those who downloaded those titles let alone purchased them. Of course the whole fixed hardware feature comes into it's advantages too.

Unreal Engine 3 is amazing, the tech demo they sold as Unreal Tournament 3 on the other hand is a steaming pile of gerbil poo.

UT2004 is where it is at, and UT99 for some classic headshot action.

Epic are really throwing the toys out on this one... they make a bad sequel to an ok sequel to an amazing game, they then start moaning about how PC owners don't buy it, who lets face it they care about most in terms of credibility as gamers (not financially).

So rather than put their hands up and say "look we made a bad game, we will do better next time", they start screaming from the hilltops apocalyptic tales of the future of PC gaming and now retract initial support for the PC as a platform.

CliffyB has only proven himself to be utterly out of touch with what gaming is now and a complete child to how he reacts to being confronted with this.

I know I would certainly have more fun digging out and playing the original UT than I ever would playing UT3.

no biggy and nothing new hear, idsoftware/epic are just good for there engines anyhow.

The markets changed a lot especially with COD4/BF type games its all about realism and military style fps action lately.

Epic said a while back that they were not going to make any big AAA titles on the PC any more. I'm surprised that they would not make the engine itself for the PC though, as they make a lot of money licensing it.

They are being totally pathetic though.

somebody should probably tell them that xbox piracy is also quite rompant nowadays, not to the extent of PC piracy, but obviously if you make it all for console, you get more pc gamers adopting consoles.. and guess what, you get the percentage of those that are pirate happy.
Nowt to be fussed about, i had the demo and dont think i even played it, the piece of **** wouldnt even run. And lets face it.. bioshock and gears are not exactly top notch quality games.. obviously they both have good points, bioshock was pretty tedious for a hell of a lot of pc gamers though. and it wasnt a hardcore FPS like UTs are.. it also lacked multiplayer, whcih in this day and age is generally suicidal. Gears was out on xbox ages before pc.. hence why that comparison isnt exactly fair, apart from that it was also fairly plain

It's easy to get an Xbox 360, well on the bad side of the road. If PC gaming does stop and it stays on consoles you know piracy will go up like 1000%

exactly, they just wont admit that console gamers have low standards and they are not good enough to satisfy the PC gaming market :p
