Nar, they seem integral parts of the systems now, especially ps5 wise
I thought this was the first time they are using SSD's in a console ?
Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. Yeah, but they will (or can be) leveraged for performance beyond just loading a level 10 seconds quicker, so I don't think they will cheap out on themI thought this was the first time they are using SSD's in a console ?
Very impressive Unreal Engine V demo. Even at 1080p this would surely have more detail and better looking graphics than a current PC title at 4K.
As for someone claiming they have played better looking PC games. That is a laughable comment really.
Nah.
Nah.
I think you are in the wrong thread, this one is about unreal engine 5 which happened to be running on the new PS5 to show what they could do with limited hardware.I love a build up to a console launch it makes for some great reading and its the same every time

Probably should be moved to the console section instead of PC graphics cards.
shame its only 30fps and 1440p (most of the time meaning it downscales sometimes) :/ to think I was playing games at 30fps back in 1999 lol.
It's a graphics engine tech demo. The video isn't really about a console. It's fine here.
30 fps is tragic for shooters, playing with a controller hides some of it due to the deadzone. Movies don't come into the equation as you aren't interacting with a rendered image, it is being played back to you.
There are plenty of tests on YouTube with pros playing at 30, 60 and 120/144hz and the difference in their ability to land shots is massive. They certainly don't have bad or even average eyesight.
current thinking is its a Samsung 980 QVO NVMe (yet to be released) but not the faster and more reliable PRO model due to costs, that's pretty decent hardware for a console imhoIf they did cheap out (they wont) the system wouldn't last long. these drives will constantly be transfering data in and out

It's the same every time. We all know PCs are a more powerful platform but some of us are capable of giving credit where its due.
I've said numerous times that God of War and Uncharted being played on my ps4 Pro on a 58 inch 4k HDR TV have been my most impressive gaming experiences in the last 5 years. I also have a decent enough gtx 1080 pc with a 165hz 1440p monitor and that looks great too.
Just be open minded rather than just shoot down everything that comes from a console.
New generations push everything forward.
Pc games depend on consoles because no one makes pc exclusives and consoles pay for it.
Specifically on PS5 hardware. There's nothing shown on any other platform.
