I read something about this some time ago. I think you're over-egging the pudding somewhat.except its not, its more natural, the narrow hips are a consequence of unnatural intervention over the decades in births
Going purely on memory, it was a surprisingly low increase in narrow-hipped women. Going from something like 5 in 100 women who were unable to give birth naturally 50 years ago to about 6 in 100 now.
