890fx also supports x16 / x16 support for crossfire thats another reason to upgrade and it supports much higher clocking with RAM. I think it would be a worthwile upgrade

That's 790GX.
Some 790FX do 8/8 like..

But mine's 16/16 or 16/8/8.

remember, you dont have to buy an 890fx


im quite happy with my 890gx board. I dont have 16x + 16x crossfire, but then i wont use crossfire. I do have sata6.0 and usb3.0 along with 6-core support. That will do me just nicely.

same here mate - will never use crossfire but having had this motherboard over a month already it was worth getting it over the FX ones for availability alone.

Now wheres our darn X6 cpu's already

Just noticed your rig zoomee, very similar to the one I'm thinking of building and you're likely to be popping in an X6 before I get the cash together. Will be keeping a close eye on how you get on

If the price on that rival site is anything to go buy then it is not a bad price at all, I'm looking forward to reading the reviews once the NDA has been officially lifted

I just wish DDR3 prices would drop a bit quicker then I'd make the switch.

And I'm debating a 1055T at this point..
Although it might be a 1090T.
Monday will tell.
I sold my WC and I'm buying a V10 for 55 quid instead, that'll save me money.
