Upgrade Help Please

Sorry last thing i'm going to post, people keep saying they are going to update there bios etc would i need to do any of this?

Thats the final question from me :).

No.

Its a modern board so will work with that CPU out of the box.

They go on about bios updates when the motherboard is older than when newer cpus are released.

One additional thing you may or may not need.

Just incase that additional fan can't plug into/or reach the motherboard, this will allow it to connect directly to the psu.

If you are planning on even more fans in the future then this.

Edit: Better start reading some 'how to build your own pc' tutorials :P

No.

If really worried just touch a bare metal part of a radiator.

Handle the motherboard, ram and CPU by the edges where possible.

Try to avoid contact with the CPU and ram pins.

The ram will only slot in one way around, it has a little notch along the bottom between the connection pins.

The CPU will only fit it one way, lift the lever on the side of the socket, look at the socket and you will see certain pin holes are blank, along the edge some pins are missing in the corners, this corresponds to the pins missing on the CPU, it will drop in easily, don't force it in, close the lever down.

The heatsink has a plastic guard protecting the paste, remove it.
