I wouldn't be buying any gpu until nvidia release their super cards next month..the 4070ti super will get 16gb vram and memory bus increased from 192 to 256 bit. that with more cuda cores, and i was reading it should be closer to the original 4080 in performance, the larger memory bus shouldn't gimp it when at 4k now and if comes in at same price will be a lot better price to performance than exisdting card..the 4070 super also s/b a decent bump with a 21% icrease in cuda cores...will be interesting to see how pricing goes, and how amd will respond
You know the price is going to be higher than a 4070ti which is around £750 so I'm guessing £850 to £900 to fall under the 4080 price point.

I think it's better to say that it's situationally slower, although the 7800XT seems to come out ahead more often than not when looking at raw performance.

When speaking of "features" I'll also take DLSS over FSR any day of the week, and unfortunately upscaling is an unavoidable reality.

Regardless, either is a good buy and I absolutely would not spend, say, £50 more on a 4070 over a 7800XT.

I would definitely pay £50 more for the 7800XT as it’s just a better product. I prefer to run at native resolution and the image quality is usually better on AMD than Nvidia.

Being faster with more VRAM and generally less money makes it an easy choice.

yeah but saw the 4080 super was going to drop to 999, so 4080 will be dead unless they reduce price on those..4070ti super meant to be 800 to 850 and 4070 super 600 to 650...think will put pressure on the existing stack so 4070 £550 standard with offers dropping it to £500
will be a little shuffle. for me the 7900xt and 7900xtx are way to expensive now, as well as current nvidia just with exchange rates
..sterling has improved over the last year..think when they were release it was $1.15 to the £. Now $1.27, so even factoring 20% tax, a gpu s/b cheaper that what's listed in the U.S now

Will be interesting to see the prices and totally agree with AMD choice if ray tracing isn't a requirement.
