UPS picking up from MS repair centre

On a lighter note, my mrs finds my lack of patience at getting my Xbox 360 back rather amusing.
She has compared my to a spoilt child and that's harsh considering my age lol.
 
yeah got the months free live, im am having one problem now though, its taking forever to login, and when i do every time i want something the little circle comes up and stays spinning for ages :rolleyes:

that's more likely live, and not your console. mine had been doing that since the fall update. it takes a while sometimes and there may still be residual problems from the problems on live over christmas.

it could also be your isp.

edit: just emailed a friend of mine who's on live and his does the same sometimes.

another edit: the friend i emailed:- he works with someone who's xbox 360 also does the same thing. so i wouldn't worry about it insane200.

Mine got picked up last Friday, called MS yesterday and they said it had been repaired and was packed ready to be collected by UPS. So looks like it will be around 10 days.

You mean 10 working days.
It's 10 working days for mine next Monday and I am hoping it'll be back by tuesday.

with mine being picked up tuesday 15th, it's all pointing to getting it back next friday with any luck.

Status: In Transit - On Time
So it looks like mine will be back on Monday after all.
Shame they won't deliver it tomorrow, but that's a blessing in disguise because they will deliver back to my work address.
I'd rather not drive to Watford on a Saturday, it's enough working there Monday to Friday lol.

It'll be exactly 10 working days providing it lands on my desk on Monday.
I can't see why it wont as it looks like it's currently en route to the central UPS hub at present.
I'd expect a few updates to appear via the UPS tracker over the weekend and once I know it's at the local depot I'll know for sure.
I suppose it'd a bit sad following the tracker but like you, my Xbox 360 time is important to me.
In my case it's a great way of releasing stress and some of my colleagues at work have already said 'I really hope you get your console back ASAP cos I want the old you back' lol.
 
just checked the repair status...it's changed to "device received at service centre"! woot!

Mine changed to that status last weekend as well.
The UPS tracker currently states: Your package is on time with a scheduled delivery date of 21/01/2008.
Now, I am asuming that Fridays one of the days UPS pick up from the repair centre so I would guess you will get yours back on Monday 28th.
I don't think it will be any sooner but of course I could be wrong.
 
My tracking status changed to "Billing Information Received" on the UPS site a fair few days ago now. Why in the name of Jesus does it take either UPS/Microsoft to ship the device out once the fix has been done.

I wondered that last week.
My conclusion is that once the service centre have fixed them (remember, they are a third party repair centre, nothing to do with MS apart from have the contract to repair 360's), they then inform MS and once the billing details are received by UPS, then then collect one or twice a week from the service centre.
 
I rang ms today they said my console was fixed on saturday, They are just waiting for ups to come and pick it up:)

How oftn do you ups go there. they have gave me atracking number for it but it doest work yet:rolleyes:

Have you tried again? mine took two working days for it to register on the UPS site... However, mine still doesn't say that its been picked up or they've tried to drop it off any my flat yet. Does anybody know if the status changes from billing xxx to shipped/delivered? Mines been sat at the billing bit for about 5 days now.
