URGENT NOTICE: NEXT DAY DELIVERY

Errrrrmmmm..... Code13

Ah............but you didn't put Nothumberland on your order like you did in your profile, did you? If so they are probably trying to work out where the 'kinell that is...........:p

They (all couriers) seem to be hit and miss, ive sent loads of stuff some gets there next day and some dont.... I sent a parcel special delivery on monday and it got there at 10am on tuesday even tho the Post Office said they wouldnt guarantee next day at the mo. Im computerless till my dpd delivery arrives.

Ordered a SSD yesterday, and it's been dispatched for delivery today, but DPD show "Awaiting receipt of parcel", might get it next week if I'm lucky, lol!

PS, nice location you have there...

Well if you get your stuff before mine then I'll really be cheesed. The roads from the DPD depot to Hexham are perfectly fine now.

Kurse my speling!

It should be OK since I used the same address that I used last time and that got here.

Also my way removes any doubt that it could be Humberland.

...and like magic it has changed *Spooky Noises*

I literally added my location an hour ago. Had no idea that there would be others from my sleepy home town.

I work at a 'big chipboard factory' nearby, and our department deals with all incoming deliveries.

Last week, during the worst of the weather, City Link, Parcel Force, DHL, FedEx, Royal Mail, TNT, etc, etc, all made their deliveries just about as normal, only DPD were noticeably absent (I was waiting for a GTX 460 to be delivered!), brilliant, lol! :p

I suspect it depends almost entirely on your local depot and area driver(s), rather than the overall brand. I have to confess I've only made one order here before yesterday since the change to DPD. In perfect weather DPD managed to mess up next day delivery last time, so I switched to a supplier who uses CityLink. And my regular CityLink guy is a very good indeed.

Given the weather has settled down and all roads between here and Stoke have been clear for days, I thought it might be safe to give in to temptation and pick up a cheap 5870 before I was tempted by much higher priced 69**s next week.

It looks like my gamble with my day off work didn't pay off. I appear to be locked in "Awaiting receipt of parcel" land. Which reminds me very much of the trouble I had last time... when it read "on a van out to be delivered" all day until said van got back to the depot and unloaded it again late in the afternoon. Boy, was I chuffed when I saw that. :-)

Oh well, I can't complain really. It was asking for trouble ordering at this time of year after last week's disruption, and my bargain card will arrive eventually. Who knows, I may even be here to receive it! :->

IF they have contracts with Egger then I doubt they'd want to mess them up. I'd imagine they get a lot of business.

Also I was waiting on a GTX 460 as well... This is too spooky.

I've also had problems with an order from Amazon with HDNL they've had it over a week in their depot in Carlisle and it would literally be quicker to walk it to my house. What gets me the most is I saw a HDNL delivery van in town delivering stuff today and my parcel is still delayed "due to external factors".

But this isn't the place to rant about delivery companies. This is the place to rant about Computers.

Should have looked at this list yesterday. :-) Two day delay at my depot.... and about a bazillion others*.

*warning: may contain slight exaggeration

So since it's working days and no Saturday deliveries that means 3 days extra from today is next Tuesday. A full week later than "Next Day" since I ordered it last Sunday.

At what point does it get too much and we can get a refund?

I am really upset today. I didn't get any note about the delivery which I should. I was at home whole day to get my delivery but the driver said on the website, he came around 14:00. I do have a door bell. Did he go to the wrong address?

On the first time it says, it will do it again on the next day. What happens after? Any ideas. Do I have to pay extra to OC again for delivery?

My Product was PC Case HAF X

Exactly the same, sat in all day waiting today and then find the driver has stuck a note through the door without knocking and legged it, probably end of the day and wanted to get home. Really annoyed

I have! 5UB.

I tried researching to phone DPD delivery customer services. I couldn't find any good info that would help me. I did found their contact info numbers but it was automated phone system. Couldn't spoke to the line on person. Anyway I made an topic about it? Thank you

Cheer up Guys,i`m waiting for a delivery from here, and one for a load of Guitar gear too.OCUK and the other retailer use DPD,i`m due to take a flight back home to Sicily on Monday.I`ve tried calling the Sheffield Depot, the Phone rang and rang for almost half an hour.Eventually i gave up.Looks like i won`t be taking that flight. All in all i`ve got nearly 4.5k`s worth of gear at the mercy of DPD!
