US election 2012

Ohio has called in Obama, basically set now!

Thank god.

Republicans cannot win now!

Time to break out the bubbly

Obama tweeting that he's pretty much done it!

Barack Obama ‏@BarackObama

We're all in this together. That's how we campaigned, and that's who we are. Thank you. -bo

Iowa and Ohio for Obama - that should be enough to give him the electoral college? Oregon should be a sure thing, and that will put him over the 270.

Getting Florida and / or Virginia would just be "icing on the cake" for him.

Obama is still trailing in the popular vote though - it would be good if the guy who wins the Presidency actually has the most votes... California will change the trend once it starts reporting, but I guess we'll need to wait and see whether it's enough to push him above Romney's total.

Edit: Too slow in typing :p Huffington Post have called the election for Obama.

Romney shouldn't be too disappointed, he can run as a Democrat in 2016 and will have a decent chance.

Amazing epic fail by the conservative echo chamber, I've been reading for days on RedState and Breitbart that the polls are wrong, that Romney signs far outweigh Obama's, that there is no way in hell that it will even be close based on little more than a bit of gut instinct and partisan mentalism.

Election day - ffs those pollsters whose livelihoods rely on them being right were right ffs.

4 more years of drone attacks, a possible war with Iran and empty promises.
Hey that's cheating that could apply to either candidate :p
